Berliet is certainly the most emblematic and representative brand in the world of French trucks, due to its age - its first truck was built in 1907 - the extent of its ranges and the variety of types of vehicles manufactured.

Berliet has always been very prolific in advertising documents, with at least one document being published for each current model. These advertisements, which include the basic technical characteristics, are of great interest to both enthusiasts and collectors. During a given period, they make it possible to reconstitute the whole range and to situate the models well.

This book brings together a selection of documents printed from 1956 to 1958, some of which are now difficult to find. They concern the "R" models, i.e. the last chassis to be equipped with Ricardo injection engines, before the arrival of Magic direct injection engines.
